Boo December

I've got good news and bad news. The good news is that I've had a lot of work come my way.  The bad news is that because of all of that work, I haven't been on a bike in almost a month.  I'm not really going to have a chance to ride until the new year so I decided to start a little side project I've been thinking of doing.

If You Like To Laugh...

My friend Isaac has decided to start a blog here.  Isaac is hilarious and his blog, while only 3 post old, is proving to show this.  I highly recommend you stop by and take a look.

Ride Review & New Toys

In our last episode, I made three easy changes to my mountain bike in an attempt to improve it.  I have mixed results to report, but know that most of it is my fault.

Changes To The Stumpy

Since I bought a bike that is technically a size too small for me (on purpose), there are some changes that will need to be made to make the bike fit me better.  The bike came with a 90mm stem, which was nice for handling (quick change of direction) but I felt and looked really cramped in the cockpit.  A quick guess that I need a 110mm stem by Isaac, who is the shops fitter so his guess carries some merit, and I decided I would try the change.  He happened to have some no name stem sitting in his cubby at work in the correct length and I slapped it on today.

Michelin Pro 4 Service Course Tires

A couple of months ago I was doing routine maintenance on my R5 when I noticed that my tires were pretty close to shot.  I figured I had about 500mi left on them if I was lucky and would just ride them until I started flatting and then replace them.  I'm pretty lazy.
